Although this water sport toy was not originally intended to be used as scuba equipment, many divers and rescue swimmers have inquired about the Surf Shark as scuba or water rescue equipment. Tippmann Aquatics, Inc.'s water sport toy is very popular among water enthusiast and recreational boaters. Tippmann Aquatics Inc. strives to supply it's customers with quality equipment for recreational or rescue purposes.
The Surf Shark is built with a durable fiberglass body, lid and battery box, all locked together with polyurethane floatation foam. With dual motors, the Surf Shark is produces approximately 100 lbs. of thrust with 2 high strength plastic props. The prop case is made of aluminum rings and laced with 1/8" nylon cord. Two sealed 12 volt gel-cell batteries fit into the sealed battery box to produce 24 volts. The Surf Shark, with it's variable speed control, can run at a low setting with approximately. 25 lbs of thrust for 5 hours and can be adjusted to any setting from zero all the way to 100 lbs of thrust that will reduce the burn time to approximately. 40+ minutes.
We are not recommending the Surf Shark for deep water diving due to safety issues. We recommend a maximum depth of 30 ft. If depths greater that 30 ft are required, special arrangements may be made.
